COURSE OVERVIEW

With a focus on self-awareness, resilience and values this course is a vital tool for achieving aspirations or targets for women in senior posts and effective succession planning.

The gender pay gap is primarily caused by a lack of women in senior positions. Improve your gender pay gap by helping women prepare for and succeed at the next level. For many, this course will start their leadership journey and provide the courage and ability to take that next step.

Support for aspiring leaders

Have you ever thought you could apply for a leadership position, but unsure if you are ready? What will it mean? This programme will help you understand yourself, build resilience, provide insights into your leadership style and build your confidence as a leader. Because it involves online work and working with a mentor, the course will dovetail with your busy work schedule and 10 weeks will fly by.

Support for mentors

How you choose to engage with your mentee could be critical to their entire career – you could bring out someone’s capability to get all the way to the top. ‘Breaking The Glass Ceiling’ provides a self-development programme and framework for supporting your mentee on each module. This ensures each conversation you have with your mentee has depth and meaning helping them grow and enabling you to play your part in succession planning.

Designed to aid personal development and self-reflection, the course splits into two units: one for learners and the other for mentors.

Course duration: after each one-hour session, an exercise gives learners the opportunity to reflect on new insights over a 10-week journey of self-discovery. The journal you create over 10 weeks will help you better understand how you understand how your leadership career began.

A key aspect of the course is the Journal, which acts as a prompt for making notes and keeping track of reflections gained throughout the course and career development.

What You Say

"With products such as GDPR or Health and Safety the material must cover all key areas and topics, and it is vital that the language used, case studies discussed, and examples fit the university context. Marshall E-Learning understand all of this, which makes their programmes so attractive."
